Barry Gould, Co-Founder
Barry has over 30 years’ experience advising on board dynamics and board composition across all sectors of industry and commerce, specialising in the recruitment of Chairs, Non-Executive Directors, Chief Executives and Finance Directors for FTSE 100, FTSE 250, AIM-listed and Private Equity backed companies.
He began his search career with Russell Reynolds and subsequently became a senior partner in the Board practice of Whitehead Mann. In 2004 he established an independent board practice which he incorporated into the co-founding of Lygon Group in 2008. Prior to executive search, Barry worked in general management with the Inchcape Group in the UK and internationally.
Together with David Robinson, he co-founded Gould Consulting in 2021.
David Robinson, Co-Founder
David has over 30 years' experience working with international boards and senior executive managers on business transformation, change management and operations improvement issues.
He was a partner at EY for 20 years, initially in the consulting business and latterly as chief operating officer (COO) for all of EY’s businesses across Northern Europe, the Middle East, India and Africa. Whilst at EY, he served on the Global Practice Council.
More recently, David was COO for Herbert Smith and a member of their Executive and Global Board. David was a key member of the team negotiating and implementing the merger with the Australian law firm, Freehills.
Together with Barry Gould, he co-founded Gould Consulting in 2021.
Eleanor Evans, Consultant
Eleanor has nearly 30 years' experience as a corporate lawyer and has been engaged with boards and board performance reviews since 2008.
She has worked internationally across Europe, North America, Asia, Africa and Australia, beginning her career with Norton Rose Fulbright and moving into industry in 1997.
Eleanor spent over 15 years in five FTSE 100 industrial companies, the last three of which (Cobham plc, AMEC plc and Rio Tinto plc) as general counsel and/or company secretary.
Sarah Weatherall Morris
Sarah is our office manager and supports Barry, David & Eleanor with all aspects of client engagement administration.
